A manual wheelchair is pushed by the rider, by someone walking behind, or by both. The everyday chairs in this section are the folding frames Canadian pharmacies, homecare dealers, and discharge planners reorder constantly: steel or aluminum, swing-away footrests, and seat widths that usually start at 16, 18, and 20 inches.
They are the right conversation when the chair is for short distances, recovery, or a caregiver who pushes most of the time. They are the wrong conversation when someone self-propels all day.
