Stretto is the Edge 3 people specify for apartments, older Toronto and Montreal walk-ups, and any home where a standard mid-wheel base is simply too wide. It is still a complex rehab power chair. Narrower does not mean a travel fold, and it does not mean the seating is less serious.
We quote Stretto only when the doorway is the constraint or the clinician named it. A narrower base can limit seat width, battery, and how much seating hardware fits. Those limits belong on the quote before anyone falls in love with the idea of “the skinny one.”

We confirm the current manufacturer specification before the order is placed. Battery, seating, and wheel options change weight, range, and speed.
Measure the clear opening of the narrowest door, including the hinge side, not the door slab width on a floor plan.
A wheelchair has to match the person. Weight capacity includes the rider and anything carried on the chair. Complex rehab chairs should be sized with an occupational therapist or seating clinician. Configured chairs are built after you approve the quote. Once a manufacturer has started a made-to-measure frame, that build usually cannot be cancelled. Boxed retail chairs are different, and we say so on the quote.
