Description
Helio C2 is the carbon folding chair from Motion Composites in Saint-Roch-de-l’Achigan, Quebec. It is the Canadian-built answer to a Quickie 2 or Catalyst when the rider wants a folder and also wants the frame in carbon. The company publishes a transport weight of 9.5 lb (4.3 kg) on a 16 by 16 inch chair with the rear wheels, wheel locks, armrests, cushion, anti-tippers, and footrest removed, and a lightest rolling setup of 19.4 lb (8.8 kg) with locks and rear wheels on.
The stated weight limit is 265 lb (120 kg), or 350 lb (159 kg) with the heavy-duty kit. Seat width runs 14 to 22 inches, with the heavy-duty kit starting at 18. Seat depth is 14 to 20 inches. Those numbers are why people cross a province to get one. They are also why we will not swap in a different wheel package and pretend the brochure weight still applies. The current Canadian order form is the order.

A 9.5 lb transport weight is the frame prepared for the trunk, not the chair you push across a grocery store. Ask us for the rolling weight of the setup you actually want.
A wheelchair has to match the person. Weight capacity includes the rider and anything carried on the chair. Complex rehab chairs should be sized with an occupational therapist or seating clinician. Configured chairs are built after you approve the quote. Once a manufacturer has started a made-to-measure frame, that build usually cannot be cancelled. Boxed retail chairs are different, and we say so on the quote.
